The fact gate

Every fact in Carnero content is checked against an approved source with an exact quote before it can be used. It passes five checks, in this order; a fact that fails any of them is refused.

1. Approved sites only. The fact must point to one specific page (https, not a home page and not a search page) on a site in the approved list. A site becomes active only after it is approved.
2. The engine reads the page itself. The engine downloads the page on its own, and the next checks use that page, not a summary of it. If the page redirects, every address on the way must also be on an approved site.
3. The exact quote, with its numbers. The fact comes with a quote of up to 500 characters. The quote must appear on the page, and every number in the fact must appear in the quote.
4. A small AI check. One AI call reads only the quote and the fact and answers one question: does the fact follow from the quote alone? It does not search the web or use outside knowledge, and the quote is treated as data, not as instructions.
5. Refused facts are never used. A refused fact stays in the engine’s log with the reason, and is never shown as a fact or used in a video. A topic is ready for a video only when it has at least two facts and all of them passed.

The fact gate applies to content made since 17 October 2026; earlier videos were made before it existed.
